DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATIONS:

The GI-ATEX model bag filter is an autonomous dust filtration system. Equipped with automatic cleaning with compressed air, specifically for the filtration and relative separation of medium, fine and impalpable dust. The automatic cleaning system using compressed air jets allows the pressure drops to be kept almost constant. The filter is protected with a venting system designed and installed based on the characteristics of the dust and the place in which the machine is installed. This type of filter allows, in combination with special compartmentation systems, to avoid the explosion of the filter and pipes.

Principle of operation

In the GI-ATEX bag filter the dusty air enters directly into the dust collection hopper. Thanks to the combined effect of the reduction of air speed and flow distribution, a part of the dust precipitates directly into the hopper, the remaining part deposits on the external wall of the filter elements.

The very permeable material of the filter bags allows gas to pass through. However not dust, which gives the filter its main filter layer. It is essential to carry out correct removal to guarantee optimal filtration efficiency and low pressure drops. This is balance is achieved through the DENA PULS-JET system. A jet of compressed air, accumulated in a special tank, is injected cyclically inside the sleeves. Thus creating a violent counter current shaking wave capable of detaching and precipitating the particles deposited on the external wall of the sleeves.

The dusty air is introduced into the lower part of the hopper through the mouth connected to the panel. 

The coarser dust contained in the sucked air already undergoes an initial reduction and falls into the collection hopper due to the notable reduction in speed. 

Passing the hopper, the dust passes through the filter cartridges, passing from the outside to the inside, thus depositing the impurities in the collection hopper. During work, the filter is always kept in perfect efficiency through a cyclical counter-current cleaning system. 

A jet of compressed air, accumulated in a special tank, is quickly injected inside the cartridges, creating a violent countercurrent shaking wave capable of detaching and precipitating the particles deposited on the outside of the cartridges. The double clapet valve will discharge the dust cyclically.

The GIC cartridge dust collector is made entirely of thick galvanized sheet metal, suitably worked and treated, to ensure its durability over time.

Fume extraction and filtering unit

The fume extraction systems, however different they may be, are all made up of a filtering unit composed as follows:

  • filter module – made of aluminum profiles, with double-walled panels;
  • prefilter – composed of pleated fabric, essential for blocking particles with larger grain sizes;
  • pocket filter – to filter the smallest particles;

Welding fume extraction
